Happy Eid al Fitr!
Today is Eid al Fitr feast the end of Ramadan and the first day of Shawwal, the tenth of the Muslim calendar. It is celebrated the following day the last day of Ramadan.
is an opportunity to gather family and meals typical and traditional. It's called the "little party" (es-Saghir Eid) as opposed to the Eid al-Adha, the feast. It is a day of rejoicing, which can be like "Thanksgiving" in English.
Posted by Sufis and Sahaja Yoga Eid al Fitr, but also a deeper and more religious than just a family celebration: it represents the generosity and sharing, much appreciated moral values in the three holy books, because on this day, Muslims perform alms to the poor, Zakat al-Fitr.
